      • THE PEONY: BEAUTY & POWERPalladium diptych of a woman showered with gold as pollen of a peony. The stamen of the peony are enlarged in both prints of the diptych. The peony flower gave women medicine and empowered them with prestige.
      • Roots to FlourishThis surreal palladium print features a tattooed back with a detailed serpent-dragon, its scales and coils intricately etched onto the skin. The dragon's body is overlaid with a network of tangled roots, merging with the human form in an ethereal, surreal composition. The work evokes themes of transformation, interconnectedness, and Eastern philosophy, referencing mythology, tattoo culture and the Five Elements philosophy. This work suggests a visual meditation on grounding, resilience, and vitality, blurring the boundaries between body, myth, and nature.

This surreal triptych references the occult practice of metamorphosis with her hand transforming into a serpent.
  • SEA_SERPENT_STARS

Her hand delicately sways in the ocean water. Silver bubbles of air percolate around her transforming hand whose nails are growing serpent tails. I was inspired by the work of fashion designer Elsa Schiaperelli when I painted the serpent tails on her fingers. Schiaperelli was known for her Surrealism and wit in her fashion and did a pair of gloves where the fingers ended with snake like finger nails. Snake like creatures, like eels, are found in the ocean waters. The transformation of her hand while immersed in ocean water is a nod to her becoming a hybrid creature.
