This work suggests a visual meditation on grounding, resilience, and vitality, blurring the boundaries between body, myth, and nature.

A palladium triptych looking at how we will attune to the life in the oceans in the future.
  • Ocean Alive

This triptych of palladium prints is about attuning to the world of the future. With the ocean facing acidification and warming, the life forms in the ocean are threatened. What will be the health of the ocean when this girl is an adult? It is noted that every third breath we breathe is from the ocean. What will the quality of our air be like in the future?

The seaweed prints in this triptych are of Irish moss. Rachel Carson wrote: “Here in this mossy turf, life exists in layers, one above another; life exists on other life, or within it, or under it, or above it.” We can also wonder about our future world if life on Earth will have protection for all living beings.
