      • THE PEONY: BEAUTY & POWERPalladium diptych of a woman showered with gold as pollen of a peony. The stamen of the peony are enlarged in both prints of the diptych. The peony flower gave women medicine and empowered them with prestige.
      • Roots to FlourishThis surreal palladium print features a tattooed back with a detailed serpent-dragon, its scales and coils intricately etched onto the skin. The dragon's body is overlaid with a network of tangled roots, merging with the human form in an ethereal, surreal composition. The work evokes themes of transformation, interconnectedness, and Eastern philosophy, referencing mythology, tattoo culture and the Five Elements philosophy. This work suggests a visual meditation on grounding, resilience, and vitality, blurring the boundaries between body, myth, and nature.

  • Women’s Powers

Peonies share a bowl shape like other flowers. This shape reported by scientists, who study plant communication systems, enables the flower to listen to the vibrations of bees and other pollinators. The bowl shape acts like the ears of the flower.

Our human history has also known of the powers inherent in the peony. Healing potions have been made for centuries from the peony plant in Europe and China. Women have been instrumental in these developments.

This palladium diptych is a tribute to the beauty and power of the peony.
