In this installation of unique palladium prints a woman stretches out her hands. She has tattoos of barbed wire on her wrists. She turned to the ritual of tattooing to visually enable her to declare “NO” after the horrifying intimacy of being assaulted. Symbolically to portray the reclamation of her space, I inserted a palladium print of scattered rose petals intersected with thorns. The third print is the dimly seen woman’s hands with a painted symbol of a matrix, which in Latin means womb.
