Film, Baby, Film!

Simply, film is more beautiful than digital. Film has grain whereas digital is small squares called pixels. Blow up a digital image beyond a certain point and you see the squares whereas blow up a film image too much, the picture shows the grain. Our vision adapts to this more easily.
Film has the flexibility to be scanned and in many cases scanned to a higher resolution than digital images. Digital files are more fragile than people think. They can be erased or corrupted.
The unique characteristics of film based imagery are often sought after by digital shooters but are seldom replicated.
My assistant, who also works with digital photographers, wrote me after seeing a wedding where she assisted me: “I just wanted to say I got a chance to look at the photos this weekend and they are breathtaking! The quality of light with the film is just so much more beautiful! The lighting that day in particular was nice, but the film really captures it - and your shots of course are great.”
Let me expose the important photographs for you. With film.
