I like to think that a portrait, for use in conjunction with your business, should say more about you than a “head shot”. Recently when the colors of fall were at their most brilliant, I worked with Joyce of NYC School Help. The oranges, reds, and golden yellow were perfect for her business. Most people [...]

In addition to working with so many wonderful clients in 2009, I am pleased that recent artworks have been exhibited in two New York galleries. Earlier this fall one of my platinum palladium diptychs was exhibited as part of a juried show at Soho Photo Gallery in Manhattan. This work was part of my ongoing [...]

Katherine and Jason chose a wonderful vineyard, Raphael, located on the North Fork of Long Island, to celebrate their wedding. Katherine and her wedding party also got ready on site. The sun shone for their ceremony which took place in back of the main building with the acres and acres of grape vines behind them. [...]

Although it rained for most of the day for Jess and Scott’s wedding, this didn’t dampen the spirit of their day. Jess and Scott love the beautiful scenery of New Hampshire and chose to share this with their families and friends. They picked Alyson’s Orchard as their wedding site, a real orchard with acres of [...]

Recently, June Bateman, an art dealer who represents some of my work, phoned me. She told me that four of my pieces were selected for the movie version of the book “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert. My prints were selected by the set designer for scenes filmed in New York City, perhaps even in [...]

Just last week I picked up new wedding albums from the amazingly creative bookbinder who hand crafts these unique archival albums. I have worked with Brooke Merrill Tinney ever since I began photographing weddings and documenting my clients’ families. Her albums embrace my photographs and help tell the story of a wedding day, a pregnancy, [...]

Over Memorial Day weekend Jessica and Zev married on the hillside of Hildene overlooking the Green Mountains of Vermont. The day was one of those crystal clear blue sky days. The children were enjoying their new dresses and added their brightness as they walked the garden path to the ceremony site. With readings by their [...]

Whether a child is a toddler or an infant, they all experience the wonder of being among such glorious trees as blossoming cherries.

When the blossoms fully opened, the fun continued. Now mom and baby could put fallen blossoms in their hair. Another idea was to feed fallen blossoms to dad. Hide and seek were easy games with the trees so full. The blossoms were so amazing!

The cherry blossom time in Brooklyn gives families a time for the generations to come together, to introduce their babies to the wonder of the blossoms, and most of all a time to relax and play. The blossoms on this particular Saturday were just starting to open. Here are a few photos from this warm [...]
