When I work with my clients for prints that they will frame, I show them different types of prints. There is a variation of effect and interpretation. Online the differences might not seem so apparent. The first photograph is printed on a warmer toned paper, the second on a neutral black & white paper, and [...]
Children and grass and trees go together. For fun, nothing more is needed.
Right after rain, the sky clears in a way that the blue is brilliant. The day was crisp but this three month old had her first glimpse of the spring sun and the awakening buds.

When I can, I use natural light to photograph. Indoors the light can come from a window. Outdoors, of course, the light is always there whether it is a sunny or a cloudy day. I think it will be easy to see how the natural daylight has allowed these photographs of three lovely maternity couples [...]

About once a month during the school year a group of about 150 teen agers gather to watch a film that relates to their experiences [...]

Using the word ‘safari’ might seem strange for a walk in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY. However there are three families of swans along with many varieties of ducks, geese, and gulls in the lake in Prospect Park. Wikipedia has a good description of swans and their habitats. Swans usually do not battle each other for [...]

Recently I was reminded how clearly babies perceive and how intensely they feel. I was spending time with a friend and her 8-month-old baby girl who is happy and always ready to play. Talking to her is a lot of fun as she listens and responds as if she could already speak. While her mom [...]
