Eat, Pray, Love: The Movie

Recently, June Bateman, an art dealer who represents some of my work, phoned me. She told me that four of my pieces were selected for the movie version of the book “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert.

My prints were selected by the set designer for scenes filmed in New York City, perhaps even in Brooklyn. The movie stars Julia Roberts. Ryan Murphy, who adapted the book, is the director. Brad Pitt’s Plan B production company is the producer.

I find Elizabeth Gilbert’s writing to be funny and entertaining even when she speaks of pain and searching. I like that she brings the reader to join her in delving into the world both physically and spiritually. I wish to do the same with my art. I like that she follows her inner voice. At her recent Ted Talks Elizabeth Gilbert addresses creativity. You may find this encouraging for your own creative process.

These are the photographs that were chosen for the movie “Eat, Pray, Love”.
