Today is International Women’s Day. With this I am drawn back to an event a few weeks ago sponsored by the New Space For Women’s Health. It was a talk with midwife Carol Leonard who read sections of her wonderful book “Lady’s Hands, Lion’s Heart”. For me it emphasized the power of sharing our own stories with other women. For me the burst of streams making their way through the snow and ice of winter can be a metaphor for the birth process and remind us of nature’s and our own power.
