Because I offer platinum/palladium prints in addition to silver gelatin black & white prints to my wedding and portrait clients, I often find that my clients desire to learn more about photographic processes. This past weekend I attended The AIPAD Photography Show at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City. AIPAD stands for The Association of International Photography Art Dealers. At least 75 galleries from the United States, Europe and Japan exhibited photographs.
I found myself totally immersed in beautiful, meaningful work. One gallery, Hackelbury, from London impressed me with the photographs showing nature in ways that inspire. When I went to their website I saw that they had a page devoted to defining photography terms: http://www.hackelbury.co.uk/read…glossary.html. This glossary is from “On Collecting Photographs”, copyright by AIPAD 2001. I hope this information will help explain the variety of photographic processes available.
Here are some examples of my platinum/palladium prints from my work.
