Recently I photographed a wonderful baby boy. I used a 4X5 camera which I love using for portraits and printed the photos using palladium printing and on silver gelatin paper. Palladium printing is very special as it uses the precious metal, palladium in solution, which I paint onto natural papers like cotton or Japanese gampi. This type of printing is a contact print for which I use the sun to expose the image. The resulting image is very warm due to the palladium. The traditional silver gelatin print can be enlarged to 16X20 inches or larger.
