I had the good fortune to do still photography for a short film called “God’s Beach”. It is written and directed by Abigail Carpenter and was her Senior’s Thesis at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. As Abby has written, the story is about “a young girl’s tumultuous life growing up on a small island off the coast of Maine. It is a meditative and poignant story about loss, life changing choices and the moments that change you forever.”
The leads are Azura Skye as Lydia and Clayne Crawford as Adam. Maeve, who I have been photographing since birth, plays young Lydia. “God’s Beach” is already receiving awards. In May of 2007 the film received Semi Finalist in the Moondance International Film Festival and in October of 2007 it received an Honorable Mention Accolade Award.
