What I experienced with Tomoko is the fun of changing how a bride can look for different parts of her wedding day. In Japan, it is customary for a bride to change clothes between the ceremony and the later reception. Tomoko decided that she would stay in her wedding dress but would change her hair and modify her dress after the ceremony. She was assisted in this by the very able Fumi Nagai, a hair and makeup artist who lives in New York City.
Tomoko and John had their wedding at Windham Hill Inn in Vermont. They had their guests and families with them for the entire weekend thus using the beauty and seclusion of the Inn.
